Ella's Story

mharvey23

Ella is a funny, smart, typical 11 year old that lives with epilepsy.

She was first diagnosed with infantile spasms when she was 6 months old. Over the last 10 1/2 years, Ella has experienced victories of seizure freedom, followed by the return of the ugly monster, often times even worse than before. Ella has seen countless neurologists at various hospitals, yet the mystery of her epilepsy continues. Through all of these challenges, Ella has maintained her fun-loving, wild-child spirit! She loves to ride her horse, swim, craft, and spend time with her friends.

What does Ella want you to know about epilepsy? That she is just like you and that, while epilepsy is a part of her story, it doesn’t define her. Spread awareness and normalize epilepsy!
