Trouble Paying for Meds?

2/2/11 7:00am

As stated on the brochure for the new "Dispensary of Hope" program newly offered to residents in our area, "No one should go without the medicines they need because of an inability to pay."

If you are uninsured, Project Access and the Dispensary of Hope may be able to help you get the medicines you have been prescribed to treat your long term conditions. For a $30 annual fee, you can have your prescriptions filled for the whole year.

Not all medications are yet offered through this program, but many are. This program is not limited to epilepsy medications, but the epilepsy medications that are already being offered are as follows: Carbatrol ER, Depakene, Dilantin, Keppra, Keppra XR, Lamictal, Lamictal XR, Neurontin, Tegretol, Tegretol XR, Topamax, Trileptal, and Zarontin.

For our March 3 support group in Chattanooga, we will have Cheryl Flerl with the Dispensary of Hope speak to us about this automated prescription assistance program. If you or someone you love needs help, this will be a great time to come and hear about this new program you may qualify for. You can even get the paperwork that night in order to begin your enrollment process. Qualifications are income based.

If you would like to come to that support group night, please call (423) 634-1772 to RSVP.
