Teens with Epilepsy

2/16/12 10:58am

supportWe understand that teenagers who have epilepsy face a variety of unique concerns: driving, dating, getting enough sleep, and being different from their peers.

That's why we have partnered with Southern Adventist University to form a six week group for teens with epilepsy. Graduate students obtaining a degree in social work will be leading the teens through this journey.

This group will start meeting on Thrusday March 15th and will meet every Thursday for six weeks from 6:30 - 7:30p.m.

A simultaneous parents group will be meeting separately.

We are very excited about offering this opportunity for teens who have epilepsy. We think it's important that teenagers know that they are NOT alone in having epilepsy.

We can have no more than ten participants, and at this time we have a few slots left. If you know someone who is interested, please contact our offices at (423) 634-1772.
