On Saturday July 31, the Tennessee Crush, a semi-professional football team owned by Tracey Rico, son of city councilman Manny Rico, held it's first ever Benefit Bowl to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation.
That night, the Tennessee Crush took on the North Georgia Bulldogs at Finley Stadium. The North Georgia Bulldogs had become somewhat of a rival this season, as they were the only team to score on the Crush previously this year.
The night ended with the Tennessee Crush defeating their neighboring Bulldogs with a final score of 11 - 25. The Rico family was generous to donate all of the gate proceeds from the evening, which totaled $1,670.
The Benefit Bowl game was sponsored by Rico Monuments, Erlanger Sports Medicine and BMW of Chattanooga. Thank you to EVERYONE who helped make this night happen!
