Set-up/Clean-up Volunteers

 

 

Perform set-up and clean-up for Epilepsy Foundation Events

 

 

Principal Duties may include: setting up tables, chairs, displays, signage etc. for events.  They are then responsible for carefully loading up, returning tables, ch

airs, displays, signage etc. for events, as well as clearing and disposing of debris.

 

Experience: No prior experience needed; Ability to work effectively with others; Ability to work as part of a team; Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

 

Working conditions: Outdoors and indoors; Physical labor; Must be able to lift, push, pull and bend repeatedly.

 

Reports to:  Team Lead

 

 

 

Parking Volunteers

perform tasks related to traffic flow for Epilepsy Foundation events.

 

 

Principal Duties may include:  setting up/taking down road cones and signage, directing traffic, assisting guests with directions, assisting with loading and unloading.

 

Experience:  No prior experience needed; Ability to work effectively with others; Ability to work as part of a team; Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

 

Working Conditions:  Outdoors; Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to do some light lifting.

 

Reports to:  Team Lead

 

 

Logistics Volunteers

perform tasks related to moving equipment, donations, and supplies for Epilepsy Foundation and Epilepsy Foundation events.

 

Principal Duties may include:  getting directions, picking up, delivering, or storing equipment, donations, or supplies, and other duties as needed.

 

Experience:  No prior experience needed; Ability to work effectively with others; Ability to work as part of a team; Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

 

Working Conditions:  Outdoors and indoors; Must have valid driver's license and own transportation; Must be able to correctly navigate from one location to another, and do physical labor.

 

Reports to:  Team Lead

 

 

 

Clerical/Office Volunteers

perform clerical/office tasks.

 

Principal Duties may include: copying materials, filing, typing, data entry, answering phones, shredding, etc.; Work on special projects, as needed.

 

Experience: Experience working in an office; Ability to effectively communicate; Ability to work effectively with others; Ability to operate phone and computer; Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

 

Working Conditions: Office setting

 

Reports to:  Education Services Director

 

 

Donation Solicitation Volunteers

perform tasks related to requesting and acquiring donations.

 

Principal Duties may include:  contacting friends and members of the community both in person and by phone, engaging in dialogue, record keeping, retrieving monetary or tangible donations; Storing and/or tagging donations

 

Experience:  No prior experience needed; Ability to work effectively with others; Ability to work as part of a team; Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines; Ability to effectively communicate; Ability to operate phone and computer; Some light lifting might be required.

 

Working Conditions:  Outdoors and indoors
